Well, in this case, it really was. Bledsoe recently came to Buchanan Design with an image branding project that was specific to the high school football lineman. The company developed and designed a knee brace specifically for this target market. It was the first time the company embarked on a project that was for this consumer—they typically work with the medical industry.
Although I did not play football in high school, the unique identity development was exciting from the start. We could create the entire thing from scratch, including name development, so we jumped right in branding process. The name NZONE was selected; then we designed an identity that would appeal to the target audience along with a graphic style board that included our creative vision for the marketing campaign.
The client loved it! The project involved every one of our graphic designers due to the set deadlines. In the end, our design studio developed the entire brand identity, art directed and shot all the photography needed, designed a brochure that opened to a poster for the locker room, created a website with e-commerce, designed several marketing ads, produced a 1.5 minute video, and developed a uniform concept that will debut at industry trade shows. This will definitely be inside our portfolio so check back in a couple months to see all the work.
