Buchanan Design’s newest employee differentiates slightly from the others—not just in the way that this designer is a midwesterner, a military veteran, and has an unhealthy Taco Bell fixation—but she’s also a girl. Hi, I’m Terri. I’m new here. My face has been blurred for security purposes. My first week has been a real learning experience. Learning about the intensely organized well-oiled machine that is Buchanan Design—and learning about all the personalities that I’m sharing an office with. In the name of fitting in and everyone liking me, I’ve even learned to eat all of the delicious snacks in the office. It was difficult, but I managed. See you soon—in better focus next time.

Heather has just finished her internship here at Buchanan Design. It was nice working with her for these last few months where she got to do some designing as well as help give us some support on our larger projects. After graduating, she plans to join the Peace Corps – good design is needed everywhere. We wish her all the best.
Heather’s take on Buchanan Design:
I am truly grateful for the experience I’ve gained interning with Buchanan Design. My time here has both challenged me and improved my design skills. I owe Bobby Buchanan and his staff a great deal of thanks for their time and efforts in taking me in as an intern. They gave me opportunities to work with them on several of their projects, including a chance to silk screen again (one of my favorite mediums to work in). Buchanan Design has revived my passion for being a designer.
Each Buchanan Design staff member uniquely contributed to making my internship an exceptional experience. I want to thank Ryan for sharing his photo savvy skills with me and introducing me to the Gocco. Joey for his web design advice and his eclectic taste in music. Unfortunately I only got a brief bit of time to work with Terri but I appreciate her sharing her design experiences. Last but not least I want to thank Bobby for his plethora of design skills, his love for color and organization and his charismatic persona.
